KWES Foundation is a charitable nonprofit corporation formed on May 4th, 2023 and registered with the Texas Secretary of State under file number 805058227. We are a US federal tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the tax code, which may allow US donors to take advantage of certain deductions on their taxes.

Our mission is to strive to provide access to quality education and learning materials for all children in need in Africa, regardless of their circumstances.

We design and run our programs in close partnership with local schools and nonprofit organizations to make sure that our grants and donations make their maximum difference.  In 2023, we started our work in Nairobi, Kenya and we are planning to expand outward from there.

KWES Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, which has appointed executives to run the day-to-day work of the Foundation.

Our activities in 2023 are summarized in our first Annual Report, which can be downloaded [here].

Our public records and tax filings can be accessed via the IRS tax exempt organization search tool on their website [here].

In our drive to provide transparency of our charitable work, we have also registered on GuideStar and we have earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency. You can find our public GuideStar records [here]. Note that some of the data fields in GuideStar will auto-populate after the IRS processes our 2023 Tax Form.
