At KWES Foundation, we remain committed to empowering young people through education. 2025 has been a year of steady progress and meaningful achievements.
During the year, we expanded our Mukuru Education Program from 61 to 78 students, supporting young people from vulnerable families in Nairobi’s Mukuru informal settlement. Once enrolled, our students receive continued support throughout their secondary education. This year, we proudly celebrated five graduates who have taken their next steps into further education or employment.
We also launched our Direct Sponsorship Program, matching two students with donors committed to supporting their education in years to come. We warmly invite others to join this initiative and help us reach more young people.
We believe education has the power to break the cycle of poverty and create opportunities for a brighter future. Our achievements would not be possible without the generosity of our supporters, the dedication of our partners, and the determination of the students and families we serve.
Our downloadable 2025 Annual Report contains all the facts and highlights for the year.
Alongside our 2025 Annual Report, we present our 2025 ANBI Standard Publication, which is an annual Dutch reporting requirement for 501(c)(3) organisations that intend to fundraise in The Netherlands. The Standard Publication essentially contains the same data as presented in our 2025 Annual Report, but in a somewhat more concise format.
Our public records can be located under our name using the IRS tax exempt organisation search tool [here].
Our ANBI Status can be verified on the Dutch Tax Authority Site [here].
